How to Train for Your First 40K Race in 8 Weeks

Race News

You do not need to be a pro to cross a Ride for Glory finish line. With a structured eight-week plan, consistent riders can comfortably tackle the 40 km City Sprint. The secret is steady mileage, one weekly interval session and plenty of recovery.

Start by building an aerobic base, then add tempo efforts to lift your threshold. In the final fortnight, taper your volume so you arrive at the start line fresh, fuelled and ready to fly.
